If a non-citizen neighbor gets kidnapped by ICE, you supposedly have about 4-5 hours to file a habeas petition in Minnesota to prevent ICE from shipping people to Texas. They are moving people that quickly regardless of whether or not they have legal status.

Pro tip for any Hill journos, the Speaker can approve 24hr protection for Members who are under heightened threat. Omar used to have this, but Mike Johnson took it away. You should ask him about that

Maybe NPR should stop using AI in their news article so they can spell the name "Fort Worth" correctly.

I don't blame the teacher one bit.

In Printz v. United States, #SCOTUS held that the Constitution bars the federal government from forcing or otherwise compelling local or state governments to enforce federal law.

The liberal squish who wrote the majority opinion in that case? Justice Antonin Scalia:

1. Many large media outlets are reporting that Trump "pivoted" his strategy in Minnesota and has "changed course."

This is what the White House WANTS YOU TO BELIEVE

The only problem is it is not true
How legacy media fell for Trump’s fake “pivot” in Minnesota
No, Trump did not "change course."

The fact that they are making Bovino the fall guy shows that they are worried, but it does not mean that any policy changes.

It's a signal to increase the pressure even more, not back down.

Agree. This is window dressing, not a sincere moral/policy shift. It’s desperation in light of falling poll numbers and their need to fund DHS to continue this mess.

A lot more people should know about the bravery Marimar Martinez displayed in the midst of Chicago’s occupation and the murder of two observers in MSP. They tried to kill her, shooting her 5 times, and it’s a miracle she’s alive to push for transparency like this after being persecuted by the DOJ.

Anyone running for federal office needs to have this as an explicit promise of their campaign
The 2029 Pretti Good Act will establish a commission to identify all agents, create a detailed accounting of all acts, and hold criminally liable as necessary. Agents who voluntarily and truthfully disclose will be granted some leniency, provided their crimes did not include murder or torture.
When I say this agency [ICE and CBP] CAN’T be reformed this is why.

A college friend, Tony, never came back to school after the freshman winter break, because he was doing this in a parking lot and slammed into the bumper of a parked car. He was permanently brain damaged and disabled.

Do not do this.
Videos of young adults, giddy at the rare snowfall and ice-covered roads, were all over Instagram and TikTok feeds this weekend. Some were taking part in a dangerous trend — “truck sledding” — or dragging a person behind a vehicle on icy roads.
