One of the most unreal feeling parts of this as someone who grew up in a right wing fundiegelical group is seeing how readily the ‘good’ things I was able to hold onto from my upbringing have been abandoned by so many of the very people I learned them from
I have supported due process rights for immigrants since I was an evangelical child debating immigration policy in homeschool debate leagues.

Due process rights are human rights, not privileges of citizenship. Even conservative kids can understand why that's important.
