Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.
Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

I have to say that the fact that retail does blackout dates is foolhardy. You tell a group of workers: "can't call out, can't take time off for two months" and they're gonna go "watch me." Like. If you MUST do blackouts, make them short.

The only truly irreversible thing a trans child is likely to do is take their own life. "What if they do something irreversible?" actually means "theyre not allowed to make a decision!"
