I'm not kidding about this, and I think there's interesting ways to scaffold it and partner with existing work happening in the space, including campus publications. For the past couple years I've helped pilot or organize paid opportunities for young writers and journalists.

In my dreams there's a worker-owned publication covering issues impacting young people, their jobs, their campuses, etc. that prioritizes paying and supporting young people to do a lot of that coverage. (And in my dreams I'm organized enough to get moving on this.)

i've half-joked about how you aren't actually rich until you have "cancer money", or enough that you can pay for treatment *and* be out of work for however long *and* maintain your or your family's basic quality of life (ie, not having to liquidate core assets like your primary residence).

i know we won't, but we have got to understand that a keystone of the republican project is to both categorize whole classes of people as criminal to justify locking them up, or to make them so broken and desperate that lawbreaking is all but certain to happen.

NEW — I spoke to DoorDash about the White House claiming the company's report shows "inflation has been tamed" and whether that's an interpretation one should make. An economist also weighed in, pointing out dictatorships use data obfuscation as a tool, and right now they're "grasping at straws."
WH claims 'inflation tamed,' per DoorDash stats. Company says that's not in its report.
It comes the same week we learned the WH would likely not release key economic reports for October.

After having two planned kids, i'm more thankful than ever that i was able to access abortion for earlier, unwanted pregnancies. My first kid = back pain, vomiting all through, sleeplessness, brain fog, wrecked abs. The second = wrecked teeth, abs, & pelvic floor + constant exhaustion. #ProChoice
The idea that a person would be forced tho go thru this when they don't want to go thru this is so unbearably cruel to think about.

I was always pro-choice, but being pregnant and having children myself radicalized me even more. Forcing someone to do all that if they don’t want to is inhumane.
This is gonna sound so obvious but after a close friend had a baby and I saw how hard it is to be pregnant (and it was a healthy pregnancy, everything went super well!), i feel like I'm even more pro-choice than before because damn being pregnant is NOT easy even at the best of times
