Other than humanistic Judaism, the Jewish movements don't actually conform to an atheist/theist distinction. There are Orthodox atheists and Reform theists. Which is just another reason to butt out of religions you don't actually know anything about.

I am very happy being involved with my community as it is. If you are Jewish, what are you doing with your life trying to change people's beliefs? If you aren't Jewish, you get absolutely 0 say in what our community believes. Martin Luther also thought we should convert to make our lives easier.

There are no shortcuts to being a good person, least of all "right belief" (including when that "right" belief is nonbelief).

Pluralism is the lifeblood of democracy. Get over yourselves, antitheists, and start prioritizing people's values and actions over their beliefs.

Signed, an atheist
Atheism is not a magic cure-all for anything, and prosteletizing is not welcome in my mentions.

I am happy for you that you can delude yourself into thinking that all of your ideas are logical and natural, that universal atheism is the only good future, and that religion is separate somehow from the cultures of the people practicing it. I am not your mission field.

I think Americans need to understand it’s not a choice anymore, the federal government is either in retreat(being stripped for parts) or being used to work as a dictatorial power
the federal government has seceded from all of democracy and it’s trappings already and now is in the physical process
Do they want blue state secession.

Because enough shit like this is how to get blue state secession
NEW: The Trump admin told states it must immediately "undo" the work to provide full food stamp benefits, or face penalties. The feds sent this in a late-night memo, only adding to the chaos and confusion around SNAP. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/09/b...

Most people don’t know that with SNAP you are banned from buying “foods that are hot at the point of sale”. So even if you have SNAP (which people don’t now) you can’t get cooked food. Which means you need to also actually have the resources to PREPARE a “healthy” meal.
Thinking about the social stigma against eating fast food in a country where poor people are being starved by the govt, the cost of groceries and fresh vegetables are astronomical, and a cheeseburger at McDonald’s costs $3.50.

“Clean” and “healthy” eating rhetoric is racist, ableist, and classist.

I rarely talk about the process of getting my work published but this one is a definite exception. I have never experienced this before in my career.

Both of the TV editors working with me on this piece were let go in the middle of the editing process. www.teenvogue.com/story/politi...

I’ve done all of these except 9 as long as you count it being my grandparents (who I spent a lot of time with) who owned the encyclopedias. And I still own print dictionaries; those things have value don’t @ me
I have never done (9) (it's anti-social), (13) (Blockbuster never operated in my country), or (20) (those things were *expensive*).

I am teh oldz.
