An ICE officer fatally shooting a woman in Minneapolis is not the first time federal agents involved in immigration have shot a person this year. Here are two shootings, including another fatal one, during the recent Chicago blitz.

Every second the murderer is not arrested is another second for feds to hide him in a place that would create a jurisdictional fight. He's on video killing a person. You have to arrest this guy an hour ago, but you might still have time now.

If the ICE agent was concerned about his safety, he wouldn't have moved to be in that position.

The ICE agent was standing there with his weapon out because he knew he wasn't in real danger and was looking for a pretext to start shooting the person in the vehicle.

Which he did, killing her.
Context: A decade ago, Border Patrol agents had to be ordered not to put themselves in front of moving vehicles as a pretext to use deadly force

Affix your safety mask first. You aren't required to see the violence firsthand to grok its existence. Take care of yourself, and to those sharing images, a reminder CPTSD is real. Trigger warnings so people can mute terms is a kindness.

Minneapolis, we love you. I'm so very sorry.

Are people unable to watch this now bc it's been tagged as graphic media? Because this is newsworthy and important and that seems like a problem to me.

Do not let the failures of prosecution post January 6th happen again. Every second you do not charge this person is a second the massive propaganda apparatus around the federal government will use to create a fog of lies to get him off. Arrest him immediately for killing an American citizen.

in MN: anything short of prosecution for murder is capitulation to authoritarianism.

in DC: anything short of denying every last vote for ICE funding is a violation of their oaths of office

I nominate clicktatorship as an early contender for the 2026 word of the year
New, from me: The Trump administration isn’t just using social media to shape a narrative. They view the world through a social media lens in a way that is plausibly corrupting their judgment and undermining their performance.
Welcome to the clicktatorship. 🧵

I need people to wrap their minds around the fact that here in Minneapolis, ICE broke the window of a vehicle yesterday, pepper sprayed the occupants, and arrested them, and shot another observer in the face today, and OBSERVERS ARE STILL GOING OUT TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBORS AT MASSIVE PERSONAL RISK
I’m eating lunch, I’m having a panic attack, I’m charging my phone, and then I’m going back out to try and keep my neighborhood safe.

One government organization controlled by fascists investigating another fascist government organization only makes sense if you are on board with protecting fascism
The shooter needs to be taken into state custody and the FBI should not be allowed to manage solely the evidence and details of this murder and abuse of badge.

Minnesota should move to arrest the ICE officers or CBP agents involved and prosecute, just as Idaho prosecuted the FBI sniper at Ruby Ridge.

Even in the most charitable interpretation, giving up Minneapolis’s prerogative to investigate the homicide seems to expose a misunderstanding of the dynamics of the situation.

Law enforcement officers CANNOT use deadly force against a fleeing person fleeing unless they have a reasonable belief that the individual poses a danger to others (e.g., they know the person is armed). If in vehicle, the person must be threatening to use deadly force with the vehicle or other means

ICE has only existed since 2003. A Bush-era creation, it is a militarized federal secret police that has been imbued with the Supreme Court with the unconstitutional power to ignore the fourth amendment.

Abolishing it and salting the earth where it grew is the moderate stance.

Evergreen reminder that you do NOT have to directly observe and consume every atrocity that transpires. In fact, doing so has ample capacity to cause you harm. Understanding what has occurred, for purposes of lay citizenry, does not require frame-by-frame analysis.
I'm not going to quote tweet, but I promise you that people do not "need" to see the video. I don't want to tell people what to post now that I know we have the tools for disabling videos. However, you don't need to see someone dehumanized to care for them if you already believe in their humanity.
