These are some quite heartbreaking stories and, as Holly Greenberry-Pullen comments in the piece, really illustrates the perverse absurdity of deeming trans teens to young to even get blockers but being fine with intersex kids getting horrifically drastic full-on bodily surgery as *toddlers*.
‘I don’t want anyone to suffer like I did’: the intersex campaigners fighting to limit surgery on children
What should be done about the small proportion of babies born with genitals that are neither typically male nor typically female? Many of those affected believe parents and doctors are often too quick...

Saw a news report yesterday about children as young as 9 being given weight loss jabs on the NHS, and I think it shows just how utterly bullshit the “lack of research into long term impacts” excuse for banning puberty blockers for trans kids really was. It’s purely ideological.

Remember all of the ghouls who denied this was happening and did everything they could to make the problem worse from JK Rowling to Wes Streeting. The NHS who did a stitch up report to hide the growing number of suicides from trans youth on the waitlists. They should never be forgiven.

every time there's political violence discourse i think about how jo cox was assassinated in broad daylight by a fascist who shouted "britain first" as he shot her, and now nine years later her party is dedicating every moment in power to placating the ideology of her murderer

a soap opera I can't immediately identify is on and a woman just leaned over to a man in a hedge maze and said "isn't it obvious? I'm trying to acquire my own train" and they gave each other knowing looks while sneaky harpsichord music played, which is maybe an ideal sort of soap opera scene

Just for perspective, a few weeks ago roughly 100,000 turned up for the London Trans+ Pride march. By contrast fewer than 3,000 ACROSS THE WHOLE COUNTRY, have turned up to anti-asylum "protests". Yet we are meant to take the latter as "the voice of the people" and the former as "the minority".

And I've obviously been saying this a lot lately, but BDS does not expect anyone to drop everything made by Microsoft all at once. They pick very specific targets in order to get as wide a coalition as possible, and in the case of Xbox, even suggest different tiers of engagement.

We need to big this up, a V important legal judgement; if it had gone against us it would have been all over the oligarch/transphobic media as a "Landmark" case. I suspect it may be very useful in preventing Universities from silencing trans people under the pretext of pandering to the OfS.

generally speaking the whitest parts of the UK are also the most racist, which is one of many things that makes the 'legitimate concerns' line Labour is now worryingly parroting bullshit
I know very little about the intricacies of local and regional British politics, but I was stunned at the openly racist signs I saw driving past a demonstration last summer in rural Lincolnshire

(which, as I look it up, is 96% white)
large parts of UK politics are swinging far-right with very, very frightening speed, and racists are getting increasingly open about expressing their bigotry.

If you've wondered why Starmer raced to criminalize support for Palestine Action, this is the smoking gun. Absolutely disgraceful corruption in office on behalf of a foreign power. Meanwhile they're charging 80-year-old retired priests and magistrates with terrorism for carrying protest signs …

Absolutely dystopian juxtaposition from the Guardian front page. Difficult to understand how anyone of decency and conscience can defend this government at this point. Just sheer moral degeneracy to arm a state that does this and arrest people for objecting. Wtf are we doing as a country?
