“The people in power are not above the law, and, to prove it, we will make them feel the full force of the law when they’re out of power (if that happens).”

Yeah, that’s the same as being above the law, guys.
Gov Hochul: “No one is above the law — no one, not an ICE agent, not a federal officer, not the President of the United States—

Make no mistake, when these ppl who have abused the power entrusted to them by their offices are finally out of power, states, including NY, will hold them accountable”

An ITV News reporter just said to Esther Ghey in an interview “you know all too well the tragic effect social media use can have on teenagers”, and I genuinely wanted to slam my head through a fucking wall.

SHE WAS MURDERED DUE TO TRANSPHOBIA EXACERBATED BY YOU FUCKING GHOULS IN THE MEDIA.
Genuinely starting to worry the police just forgot to tell Esther Ghey that Brianna was murdered, and she’s just spent this entire time thinking she commit suicide. It’s literally the only thing that would make sense of her recent behaviour and conversation.

It feels worth nothing that the BBC is happy to make an exception to its bigoted style guide of referring to trans women as “biological males who identify as women”, under the sole proviso that you are murdered. Then, being trans isn’t mentioned, despite it being a contributing factor to the murder.
Esther Ghey is facilitating the rewriting of history. The circumstances of Brianna’s death are being rewritten to obscure the fact that she was murdered for being trans. It is mentioned not once in this article.

There is a very real chance that Alex Honnold could fail his climb tonight, the feed cuts to black, and someone at home could immediately see a message from Netflix reading “If you liked this, you might like Gravity”.

It genuinely terries me how little centrists seem to be aware of how much right-wing, largely fundamentalist Christian, money is going into funding the stripping of trans rights in this country, and how they see trans people as a small enough group to be the expendable ones to throw under the bus.

I will say, given that part of Jennifer Melle’s complaint about how she was treated includes issues with the patient she misgendered being racist towards her, it is quite jarring seeing her now being on a nice friendly press tour with Sandie Peggie.

Well, they had to do something with that book the ghostwriter handed in that they’ve just had to take David Walliams’ name off, I suppose.

Really think there should be more discussion about just how much political & legal power Christian Concern seem to be getting in this country at the moment, and how much they’re being welcomed by anti-trans activists who describe themselves as feminists, whilst they campaign against abortion rights.

If Keir Starmer is as genuinely serious about stopping Reform as he claims to be, then there’s one thing he should do - defect to Reform. Can’t think of anything that would absolutely slaughter their popularity quicker.

The Labour Party that you represent is stripping trans people of their rights, the far-right is on the rise (aided by Labour copying and repeating their policy and rhetoric), and you’re here whinging on about “Zack Polanski cultists” holding your party to account for this reality? Get a grip, Kaz.
Unlike you and the Zack Polanski cultists on this site, I’ve spent time today challenging NHS leaders here in the SW as to why trans healthcare is so bad (as I’ve been doing for years).

And later this week I have diary time to talk to a senior cabinet member in number 10.

How about you?

“Hey, should we contribute to the normalisation of AI being used to generate revenge porn of people we don’t like.”

No, probably not, Caitlin, to be honest. That sounds like a fucking stupid idea.

Fucking wild that our society is so attuned to accepting bigotry now that a national newspaper like the Daily Express can somehow get away with publishing blatant libel with absolutely zero pushback or consequence.

Had a load of people coming for me on Reddit today because, as a queer person, I’m refusing to engage in “tactical voting” that would support a Labour Government. They’re saying I should just accept Labour’s transphobia to stop Reform. Anyway, here’s my take on tactical voting at this moment:

If seeing someone else win an award and just saying “I deserved that” is even to make an award become yours now, then, fuck it, I’m having Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globe for Best Stand-Up Special. That’s mine now. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

I really fucking hope Rose Henderson has a good support network around her right now, because I cannot imagine what it must be like to have to go through what she’s gone through, and be accused of what she’s been accused of, front page news purely for using a changing room she’s entitled to use.
January 16, 2026 at 2:23 PM
The trans woman, Rose, was found to have done absolutely nothing wrong, and yet still the transphobes have managed to claim victory by a judgement essentially stating that a trans person merely existing in a space violates the dignity of others in the space. This country is really fucked up.
