I'm not sure how to word this but, there is a heck of a lot of communicable virus floating around in the air in indoor spaces in the US right now. Vaccines are awesome but I rarely see an important key to actually preventing transmission/infection mentioned:

N95 masks are very good. please consider

Chickadees are wonderful in so many ways. They're often the first birds to investigate a new situation, and other birds watch & follow them to find food sources. The friendly local 'dees often bring other birds to my yard, to my delight.

The days are growing short, and the clouds bring night sooner than I expect, while the crows play in the blustering winds. Painted from life, looking out the window next to my computer.

"The Eagle and the Dove", digital painting

Inspired by the song "Flying Dreams", from the movie The Secret of Nimh.

I sing this tune often to our blind parrot, but with made up lyrics (his name fits nicely into the song).

I've been fighting a painful & disabling condition in both shoulders since '23, & have been very unwell since July with a spicy new tickborne disease (atop a pile of my other health conditions). Add in the gen A-eye BS, & the Everything- I've been really burnt out.
