I have cable, and what I miss is the ability to flip through channels. Like before digital cable boxes, you could do it really quickly, like browsing radio stations.

Now every station takes five seconds to load. You can't do it anymore. It's unbearable.
I'm gonna say something controversial but... I miss cable. I miss being able to put a channel on the TV and have it change shows. Even the commercials for some reason I miss. Like im missing out on society.

Ah yes, the horrifying opinions of Paul such as:

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (2 Cor 5:17)

Or

“Do not be overcome with evil but overcome evil with good” (Rom 12:21)

This is adjacent to the belief that reactionary politics are often a matter of education. Like yeah, maybe sometimes!

But some people just like being racist, or want a dictator.
People want to believe that the GOP’s electoral success in red states is the result of dirty tricks and gerrymandering instead of the sincerely held beliefs of a majority of the population because a mechanical issue is easier to fix than wrestling with how to make people not believe what they do.

Really feels like we’re quickly moving to an American Christianity defined by MAGA Churches vs the rest of us across previously-drawn Roman Catholic vs Protestant, conservative vs progressive, etc. lines.

Is this like how black cars are reserved for party officials in North Korea? Trump admin tamping down on the brand dilution of his Dorito-dust orange signature
Cheetos and Doritos without their bright orange color are set to hit stores next month
New versions of Cheetos and Doritos, without artificial flavors or dyes, will be sold in December.

as I said before, everyone keeps dancing around the fact that this is open nativist blood libel. This is how you legitimize mass dispossession, en masse, of an entire sub-population of a nation. And this is now an institutionalized belief in ostensibly the most powerful org in international finance.
Fed Governor Stephen Miran: "Cutting down net migration to 0, potentially even negative because of the deportations that have been occurring, I think is very deflationary."

It's giving helium balloon four days after the party
looking great, mister president, top notch, they're saying things like "no one's ever stuffed more padding into a suit", and, "everyone can notice how great you look, you know, considering the circumstances" and "it's great when a man finally learns to stop worrying about his hair"

Last winter (largely to keep myself from having a mental breakdown) I made a decent habit of walking up to the park most days, especially if it was gloomy, and it's amazing how doing that again today felt like a ritual

Legal citizenship should be virtually effortless to obtain and near instantaneous to process, and should be paired with sweeping grants of asylum.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Carl Sagan lived through, among other things, Vatican II, liberation theology, and the ordination of women - and that's just in Western Christianity. This is well meaning ignorance on his part.
