Jimmy Vesey's transformation from one-dimensional goal scorer to detail-oriented shutdown winger is something that he deserves so much credit for.

A great role model for young hockey players everywhere.

relatedly, why is the entire political press completely uninterested in the verifiable fact that JD Vance has close relationships with online nazis?
Seems like why the meeting imploded was more like "Trump is senile and has lost all impulse control and JD Vance is pickled in online fash propaganda" www.semafor.com/article/02/2...
Why the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting imploded
It happened in part because the White House perceived a loss of focus on the reason they were even gathering.

Eddie Murphy becoming funny again in the past few years is like watching Dougie Jones turn back into Agent Cooper
After Eddie Murphy actually doing a (brilliant) impression (a welcome change from his limp 40th anniversary appearance), the SNL at 50 returnee I was most excited to see was former bandleader G.E. Smith, whose stage presence I was irrationally obsessed with in the late 80s.

As much as ever, I strongly recommend you all get involved in labor organizing. I too fear the plausible futures, yet I don't feel frustrated with myself or question what I am doing about the problems. It's tough work but you always feel you're adding to the positive feedback loops of the world.

Oh boy, there's more. At a presser minutes ago, Jeffries says he's powerless:

JOURNALIST: To what extent will Dems withhold votes in the negotiations?

JEFFRIES: Repubs control trifecta, it’s THEIR govt. What leverage do we have? We’re going to continue to try to find bipartisan common ground...

“Does [getting on TV and social media] directly help solve a problem like an FBI purge?”

YES. Yes!

Because a major problem right now is that the public is not paying attention to the coup. Step 1 is driving media coverage, to blanket the nation with the message that a coup is happening.
Catharsis-
- You go to OPM and yell at the top of your lungs, it's on TV
- You do a podcast, a video, a TV hit, a viral post
- You call for impeachment, investigations, lawsuits, etc

Do these actions make people happy? Some people.
Do they directly help solve a problem like an FBI purge? No.
