Luke. Librarian. Nerd. Good at words. Terrible at Bluesky. He/him. Bi/pan/whatever.
I used to have this hanging on my wall. My parents gave it to me but I have no idea how they got it, at that time you had to go to a comic shop for it.
I've been trying to find another copy for a while but it's fairly rare/expensive. There's a litho, but it's more expensive and MUCH smaller.

I believe this to be the definitive X-Men image but I’m willing to hear arguments otherwise.

I mean, I know when I first saw Casino Royale I was nodding and going "It is important that this same man once fought a voodoo man and went to space."
Wait, were the writers of recent Bond stuff suffering under the delusion that this is a series with tight continuity? Like...did they think that the Craig Bond was also active during the Cold War?

Wait, THIS is what the Bond discourse is about? Why are they pretending that the films are a cohesive whole to begin with? Audiences don't think that the guy fighting Soviets 60 years ago is the same guy who got blown up 4 years ago, why do the people making the films think that?
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Founder culture is so cooked that the guy apparently didn’t realize that his first post was just “we used to lie to people to make money” and the second one was “and we’re still doing it to this day”
Incredible stuff on LinkedIn. Cofounder of AI notetaker says they told early customers that there's an "AI that'll join a meeting.” But it was really just him and cofounder joining & manually taking notes. No AI. Comments flame him. He posts reply trying to kind of walk it back. Overall: Total bait.

Random AI(-related) question... say you're in your phone's gallery and it offers to edit your photo into a style, like turn a photo of you into a cartoon. Is this a case of an advanced photo filter being called AI, or is it actual "the data center polluted a gallon of water for this" AI?

I would like to slightly expand: "...a cartoon about a *Russian-Jewish* immigrant mouse..."
It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life

I think Lego should have made a dedicated trombone piece. The build is interesting, but mostly looks like someone gave up in the middle of creating a Dr Seuss instrument.
