Found an additional graphic that gets even more of these quotes together.

I've kept "I hate myself, I hate clover, and I hate bees" pinned above my desk since I first started studying evolutionary biology as an undergraduate. So relatable to get extremely frustrated with your study system.

A stunning detail the ICE chief shared in this hearing that was supposed to be a brag, except it isn't: ICE has arrested 379,000 people between Jan. 2025-Jan. 2026 -- but only 8,700 were suspected gang members or known suspected terrorists.

That's 2%! www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...

Highly recommend visiting the fine folks at r/Canadiancitizenship to get help as you navigate this process!

Should cost less than $500 and take less than a year :) no lawyers required!
FYI Americans: if you had Canadian grandparents/parents: you may be Canadian

I first wanted to write this last Thursday when the latest discourse was swirling, but took the weekend, and re-drafted opening not with the governor and his critics, but on the great Billy Bragg.
Historical analogies are arguments. So when someone makes an analogy between today and the Holocaust, or today and anything, think about they are really arguing for. What is the analogy trying to get you to do?

Perry: When is it OK to compare aspects of what’s happening in Minnesota to Nazi Germany?
Gov. Tim Walz has made some such analogies in relation to ICE and has been criticized for it, David M. Perry writes.

"Would Canada dare to intervene under the Responsibility to Protect doctrine, which requires states to prevent genocide, ethnic cleansing, war crimes, crimes against humanity?...When does Canada speak up and stand up in the face of atrocity?"
Minnesota shares an 880-kilometre border with Canada. If unrest in the US deepens, the consequences won’t stop at that invisible line. Former RCMP intelligence manager and author Patrick Lennox asks: Are we prepared for conflict on our own soil? https://ow.ly/GupM50Y4CLn

Liam was taken from Columbia Heights, the town just south of my high school in Fridley and just north of the Arts district in NE Minneapolis. I spent a lot of time with friends there after extracurriculars. News of his abduction completely broke my heart. I’m glad he’s home. #Comics4Liam

This is probably the story that has stuck with me the most over the last few weeks, because it's so heartbreaking and horrifying and so clearly represents thousands of personal traumas happening away from the cameras
How an errand for a 12-year-old immigrant in Minneapolis became an underground operation
Some immigrants in Minneapolis have said they're scared to go out because of ICE agents across the city. When one 12-year-old needed to run an errand, it triggered a network of underground volunteers.
