I would like to formally apologize to Mira for besmirching her good name. I found the remote in my tote back (after I’d already ordered a replacement, of course).
In an effort to get me to spend more time playing with her and less time studying, my cat has stole my Anki remote.

It’s remarkably easy to tell which of my classmates rely on ChatGPT and which don’t, solely based on whether they can explain/justify their choice of answer to a question.

I ran into this yesterday during a group activity and it nearly derailed our whole assignment.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

In our brief report we examine postpartum return to vaginal intercourse. We use contemporaneous reporting from the first year postpartum to track the timing of resumption.

Nearly 1 in 5 of our participants resumed sex before 6 wks postpartum (for this group, a mean of <4 wks).

KEEP SHARING YOUR STORIES about increased ACA premiums due to the disappearance of subsidies. The stories clearly are having an impact, they help people feel less helpless, and they create solidarity that leads to action.

Mine went from $395→ $821. What happened for you?

This is the posture taken by someone waiting for the outrage to blow over and not that taken by someone genuinely contrite for their heinous actions.
Update from The Harvard Crimson on Summers: he’ll step back from public commitments, but remain in the classroom, continue his directorship of a center, & keep his University Professorship. How is this in any way holding him accountable for his actions? www.thecrimson.com/article/2025...

Why do people insist on suffering needlessly?

Who does it serve if you insist on powering through a headache or body pain?

It is okay, good even, to care for your body with the tools we have on hand.
JD Vance calls ibuprofen "useless medication" and implies it's not "necessary, safe and effective."

Turns out that C. Wright Mills was right on when he said that there is a "power elite." Though for our generation it seems to be an outlandish collection of finance, tech and crypto bros, academics, influencers, grifters, degenerates, perverts, cranks, buffoons, rich Nazis, and fabulists.
Whats so unnerving, among many other aspects of the whole sordid Epstein miasma, is how incestuous the world of these elites are. Everyone knows everyone. The personal, social, and professional spheres all overlap.

It’s telling that he sleeps easy now that he is no longer personally discomforted — while millions are being priced out of their health insurance.

I can’t imagine the level of callousness it takes to prioritize being liked over the health and well being of millions of Americans. For shame.
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"
