Por qué no los dos?

And next we can add ACA subsidy vetoes for a truly unholy trifecta
I sort of wished everyone had freaked out about this President when he sent mobile death squads into our cities but destroying the economy also seems to be getting some attention
Sentiment check: r/wallstreetbets is absolutely libbing out, indistinguishable from Bsky.

🕯️Every month, my childhood parish in NYC organizes community get togethers. I'm part of a Zoom-based group for those parishioners who've moved away over the years.

Tonight we meditated on how the Episcopal baptismal examination and covenant calls us to action in the current moment.

Love being in an abusive relationship with my own government
The message from the White House this morning is that, once again, it falls on ordinary American citizens to remain calm and professional when dealing with the heavily armed agents of the government because they are very emotional and might fly off into a murderous rage at the slightest insult.

I can still recall all the tut-tutting from the media when Harris made this argument.
Kamala Harris at her closing campaign rally:

"Donald Trump intends to use the United States Military against American citizens who simply disagree with him."

Mamdani's entire Big Block of Cheese Day video is worth watching, but in particular, his chat with Samina, a Pakistani woman who reminds me of my Bengali mom, made me tear up.

I think her English is perfectly intelligible. But it's amazing to see how eloquent she becomes once they switch into Urdu.

Overheard in the crowd, a mother explaining to her young child who is holding a cymbal: "Do you remember? This is the same road we marched on for George Floyd. Another man who was killed."

Thankful this and every day for the moral leadership of my church 🕯️
so between "if you work for the feds on immigration, seek counsel for the sake of your immortal soul" from the bishop of dallas and now "clergy, update your wills then hit the streets" from the bishop of new hampshire, I feel that a shift has begun in 2026 in the rhetoric from episcopal leadership

After federal troops forced a fugitive slave named Anthony Burns back into slavery in the 1850s, one Bostonian wrote, “we went to bed one night old-fashioned, conservative, Compromise Union Whigs and waked up stark mad Abolitionists.” The abuse of power radicalizes people. We are seeing that now.
