Anyway we do not have to support all Democrats and I *specifically* mean Jared Polis when I say that.

it is incredible that the entire high level legal apparatus of the United States is "anything that helps people is impossible, anything that kills people is permitted"

Ranking from least to most ridiculous:
- laundry chute, loved playing with those as kid
-built-in bookshelves WITH rolling ladder
- sauna with cold plunge
- full-sized lap pool
- Russian-style stove you can sleep on top of, just, right in the middle of my regular-ass 1993 American house
if you could have one absolutely ridiculous thing in your house, money is no issue, what would you add?

I don’t know how to make people understand that this actually is our fucking lives.
Today a young nonbinary friend talked about being screamed at and threatened with violence on the subway with their (also trans) partner on New Year’s Eve. No one was hurt, but they’re shaken up.

I share this bc people are telling me that it’s unreasonable not to compromise with transphobes.

What's Lyman Stone's deal, you ask? He's one of those conservative dudes who thinks he's smarter than everyone else and thus able to perceive that reality affirms his positions in a way the libs can't. This rhetorical posture is enormously alluring to a media in search of both sides of every issue.

Also, that baby isn't even big enough to be doing social smiles yet. Get back to me when she's three and a petty dictator (like all 3-year-olds) and there are actual stakes to her whims
Men doing this whole “I will vanquish continents for my children” LARP is so goofy in the context of household surveys. It’s nice you’ll kill millions for your daughter, maybe we can start at doing a load of laundry for your wife who does the vast majority of household labor?

My dad asked me yesterday if daycare costs really affect birthrates or whether it's just being pushed by liberals with a daycare-expansion agenda. I told him honestly that we don't know for sure, and then also told him how we paid $2200 a month for Ezra. He was like 🫨

As someone whose ancestors got to Ohio and stayed there: accurate
who gives a shit!!!!!! the only thing I can imagine more dorky than bragging about your dad is bragging about your great grandfather. "my ancestors got to ohio and stayed there." pathetic
For those not following at home, “Heritage American” is a category of white supremacy covering people whose ancestors were white folks who were pioneers.
