Who among us, upon taking a job, demands more $ to do the work, other than politicians entrusted with (and utterly failing to) protect basic human rights? No more fundraising from the pockets of constituents constantly trying to do more with less... try that yourselves maybe? 🤔 #dems

When I was very small, my considerably older brother liked to trip me and kick me off furniture. I’ve had a lifetime of headaches and neck/back pain. Parents, don’t allow this. Please.

Many accounts calling for reinstatement of #DEI and #disabilityrights + initiatives use inaccessible templates from a $32B company (Canva) vs. independent expert volunteers.

They think you don’t mind.

If something’s hard to read, say so & feel free to tag me. Want to walk the talk? Message me.

This is a fantastic visual illustration of a very cool paper showing higher COVID entitlement and disregard for public health interventions among people higher in narcissism.
#COVID
New #Infographic: study shows those w/ high #narcissism have greater #COVID related entitlement, stress & disregard for #publichealth interventions.

Looking to support small businesses? You’ve found one! I left a lucrative job to focus on helping clients of all kinds that do good in the world. I do accessible, inclusive print and digital collateral, pitch decks, proposals, infographics, social media, branding, event materials and more.

The easiest way to tell that account doesn’t give a crap about designing for social media legibility: visuals that are wider than they are tall. End of story. They’re just posting goddamn PowerPoint slides. And our taxes are paying for it. @nws.noaa.gov

Taking a short break from most of social media. Personal, professional and larger-scale losses are preventing me from showing up properly for myself & others. I continue to welcome volunteer and (hi, capitalism) paid graphic design projects for kind people. Link in bio. Thanks for reading. ❤️

I'm so sick of seeing articles about how people can fight back against *gestures broadly at everything* that are like, "Get offline and build in-person community!" without mentioning 1.) the importance of making in-person events accessible, including covid precautions, and

I have to be honest, I'm having a lot of trouble functioning here.

I know I have depression & anxiety. I know my strong sense of justice is in play. Those make it all the more difficult, but it's getting really hard to even see the point anymore.

I'm still trying & I'm safe, but holy shit, y'all.

how do you know if someone is disabled or not? you don't! being disabled does not define me, it is a condition of my body. it's not something I want to put in my bio. not everyone wants to disclose out the gate that they are disabled or how they are disabled, and they are entitled to that agency.

I highlighted the most important part of yesterday’s Nature paper.

We’re in year six.

Can you please stop saying “during the pandemic” and “post-Covid”?

You sound dangerously uninformed or just really stupid when you say it.

I think most abled people don't understand that being disabled is often a constant dance between rest and activity, trying to make sure you don't harm yourself further.

I know I didn't.

Empathy is not a sin. There is room in compassion for all who are struggling. We can fight for all while also fighting for one. I will not put down your voice just because it does not help me, but rather lift your voice up with mine. None of us are free so long as one is oppressed. 💚

As part of many marginalized communities On Here, a lot of y'all are tangibly leaving your non-white siblings behind. You need to cut it out. In the same vein, a lot of you are openly abandoning your disabled siblings. Stop it. Don't let fear cost us compassion now of all times.

I hold a lot of disdain for the people who didn’t see this coming given P2025 but it does seem like the actual support for these goals is nonexistent, everyone who voted for him did so under the incredibly stupid assumption that he wouldn’t do this

Fam, I love you, but I really can't watch this deer-in-headlights, headless-chicken, but-that's-illegal-they-can't-do-that BS this weekend. It's like watching people drowning in a shallow pool en masse.

I am gonna leave you all to it for a bit for my sanity.
