and to my ex who was cheating on me when I was in the accident that almost killed me, the entire time I was in the hospital bed I worked from to support his 4 children, and for 6 months while I was bedbound and in a wheelchair before I caught him: fuck you, you didn't deserve me

today was my final appointment with my heel surgeon almost 15 months to the day since the accident. I don't need my hand crutch as much. I walk mostly normal with my brace but have to go slow; I expect it will be this way the rest of my life. I'm just grateful to be able to walk

lately I spend less and less time in bed, and when I'm standing up I don't look for the nearest chair right away. my heel feels so much better without 11 pieces of sharp metal in it causing me agony. I think my bones will always hurt but this is the best I've felt in a long time
