Mainstream "no one wants to read anymore" discourse is wild. Society overloads us with stress and anxiety, oppression, cost of living issues, constant ads, podcasts, and social media bullshit, then tries to get us to buy, buy, buy while devouring all of our time.

Any other burnt out former gifted kids take the day off cause they're sick, only to file the their taxes (fed, state, and local), finish their Feb newsletter, catch up on bills, e-check in for doc appointments, AND meal plan, all to feel like they weren't productive at all?

The US is, has always been, and will always be, a Latin American country. Far more of the US was colonized by Spain than by Britain - hell, more of the US used to be Mexico than was ever British. The earliest European colony in US territory was, in fact, Puerto Rico.
To reject the US as a fundamentally American country with a deep shared history and commonality with the rest of the Americas, including that Spanish has long been our de facto national second language, is on a deep level anti-American. It's hating actual American culture and history and tradition.

This is so upsetting, my heart goes out to everyone :(
While I dodged a bullet with the RP server and personal interactions, I did work with DayLITE with character designing Gnomons back in 2022-2023? And yes, my supposed royalties were literal cents. No actual payment for the designs I did.

I have not done work for DayLITE in years so needless to say I do not associate with them anymore. The miniscule pay, intense workload, and insanely chaotic project organisation were not worth.
