The ableism in a conversation about paper vs. e-arcs yesterday was off the rails. Authors bitching because not everyone can read on screens. Readers and authors basically saying if they didn't need the accommodation/hadn't heard of it then it doesn't exist. Lots of authors showing their asses. 1/

As we move into the year of the fire horse (though I am so thankful for my horses who love their food and don't test the fences) I am thinking about where I feel as if I have worry about upsetting people or file off too rough edges. Connecting with Mars Mullo and asking him to help me stand strong.

Maybe this is why I think Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches are so cool. We persist.
One thing about art is you have to be stupid enough to keep trying and not give up. Like a post i said you must become one with the cockroach who wont get squashed no matter what. That tenacity is so useful for art. It can be frustrating. The best thing about art is you'll outdo yourself every time!

I need to burn more incense. There's something about the smell of incense (usually sandalwood, patchouli, or one of my money drawing incenses) that really calms the mind and helps me to focus. I got out of the habit this summer between the drought and sinus foo from the up and down weather.

1) Blatant transphobia and harassment by the "you have to support Newsom" crowd.
2) UK tearing apart trans rights under a centrist/liberal gov.
3) Blue state govs refusing to enforce trans protections.
Is reshaping how we see liberals and Dems.
