While I appreciate the women writing threads about M/M romance, I would love it if y'all stopped describing these readers and authors as "women (and women-adjacent)". Nonbinary folks aren't woman-adjacent or woman-lite. It's a huge umbrella with a lot of variation. We are our own thing.

We've taken to adding 'mergency on the end of a shortened version of kitty name when they are clamoring for attention. Tub-tub was really desperate for attention after her evening feeding, so I told her I was able to handle all Tub'mergencies. Now I have a purring senior between me and the laptop.

This is so important. MO is one of the states doing this. As someone who lives in a rural food desert, we drive 25 miles to the nearest grocery store once a week and count ourselves blessed. The package store is 4 miles away and all chips, lunch meat, and snacks. Our local food banks aren't good.

Jonathan Frakes is coming to the Springfield (MO) comic con next year and we both want to go, but also, we both go mute in the presence of people we want to meet and we both wonder if it would even be worth it to buy tickets. But his work and ST:TNG has meant so much to us.

Catching a train from Bristol Temple Meads, but they shifted the service along the platform because a scene from THE OUTLAWS was being shot where it would usually come in. The scene featured Christopher Walken and Stephen Merchant, but my train came before they shot it so I didn't see either of 'em.

Morning office kitty report: Saw Skittles perched on Strudel as if holding him down. (Strudel was curled up sleeping on a box). I did turn the heat back on, but it wasn't that cold in here. They were adorable, but I couldn't get a good picture. Skittles is now curled up in her self-warming bed.
