After a short hiatus on YouTube, I am back with a Q&A video. I discuss missiles, Russia's war economy, who is winning the war, and whether Denmark can close the straits to Russian ships. Watch it here.

It bears repeating how Russian shadow fleet tankers increasingly carry military officers in official Russian navy uniforms.

The officers escort, intimidate, obfuscate documents and are generally uncooperative according to the Danish pilots who have an unique insight into these ships.
Danish pilots keep reporting sightings of little green men aboard civilian vessels coming from Russia. Unfortunately the authorities don’t want to discuss these sightings. But a veteran pilot with decades of experience is willing to talk.

I realised there are people who want to know how things work so we can do things without help, so we can improve the procedure, so we can apply our knowledge to other things. And there are people who do not want this and are now using AI for everything, with relief. 3/3

The talk about bleeding out Russia is annoying. First of all, Ukrainians are also bleeding. And it is they who are bleeding in this, and not us. Second... we see the Russians do not care. It's very naive of us to think that a society that throws away 2000 to 4000 men a day, has a sense of humanity.

Let's be clear-eyed about what this is.

The United States is pushing for regime change in Europe, supporting the far right in their efforts to take power in the next elections. As a result, they're polling in 1st place in Germany, France & UK

And our centrist leaders pretend it's not happening.
America is pursuing regime change in Europe
The far-right candidate won yesterday's presidential election in Poland, thanks at least in part to help from the Trump regime. Centrist EU governments need to realise America wants them out.

Yesterday Ukraine blew up the Novorossiysk oil refinery, which is still burning furiously. Today Russia has been forced to suspend all exports - 2.2 million barrels a day.

That sound you now hear is the Russian economy burning.

A crazy example of how "knot points" (hard thresholds for tax breaks and financial support) are bad, as they make life harder AND encourage people to contribute less to the society. (Here UK takes the shame)

(Can also be used for a counterpoint of why UBI + progressive tax are good)
NEW - we've data showing huge numbers of people reducing their income to avoid high marginal income tax rates. Not just at the £100k point (as previously reported). But at the £50k point:

China’s CO2 emissions have now been flat or falling for 18 months, starting in March 2024.

This trend continued in the third quarter of 2025, when emissions were unchanged year-on-year.

If this trend starts to move into sustained carbon emissions reduction it would be hugely significant.

Ukraine’s rapid drone innovation and operator training (30+ schools) prove skilled crews matter more than hardware.

Last year, @alexfanta.bsky.social and I started collecting data on a decade of meetings between Google and the European Commission. Today, Alex shows how Google influenced people in Brussels to dominate the scene.
Google, the world’s largest search engine operating three in four smartphones, has played Brussels like a fiddle – shaping laws, silencing rivals, and calling it "innovation". The chart shows how Big Tech bankrolls Brussels’ top think tanks.
