Good odds BYD beat Ford this year (waiting on Fords numbers, takes a while when you can't even bring new EVs to your home market I guess).

📮 Everyone talks about lithium. Yet graphite, without which lithium-ion batteries simply wouldn’t work, is quietly becoming a major bottleneck.

In my latest article, I expose why graphite represents a critical risk for the energy transition and what it all means.👇🏻

US government's policy toward the Big 3 automakers—encouraging them to invest in massive, US-only SUVs & trucks, now encouraging them to underinvest in EVs—has reinforced their global irrelevance.

Ford sold 33% fewer vehicles worldwide in 2024 than 2015! GM sold 40% fewer vehicles!

🔋The graphite industry is moving fast.

Today Canada’s Northern Graphite Corporation and Saudi Arabia’s Al Obeikan Group for Investment have formed a joint venture to develop and operate a battery anode material facility in Yanbu Industrial City in Saudi Arabia.

Renewable energy jobs globally reach 16.6 million in 2024.

They are up 127% since 2012, when there were 7.3 million global renewable energy jobs.

Solar jobs skyrocketed 432% to 7.24 million global jobs in 2024 from 1.36 million in 2012! Wow!

China is world's largest auto exporting nation. Now it is set to double by 2030.
Edward White:

"Forecasts now suggest China's auto exports are set to nearly double from 2024 levels by 2030 while legacy ICE demand will collapse to levels not seen since 2005."

I can’t believe we handicapped EV manufacturing in the U.S. because certain people called it “woke”.

It’s going to be difficult for the United States to compete globally as everyone passes by on renewables and EVs.
Only one chart to top them all;

"China's passenger EV sales will surpass all US passenger vehicles sales this year"
