Emissions from transport fuels fell 5% in Jan-Sep, driven by electric vehicles, economic structural shifts and public transportation, a very impressive result. Total oil consumption increased slightly regardless as chemicals production surged.

"Fossil demand has been flat for industrial energy since 2014, for buildings since 2018, for road transport since 2019, & may peak for electricity this year. 2/3 of countries have already seen peak fossil demand in end-use sectors, & half the world has seen a peak in fossil fuels for electricity."

What should I ask him?

Next year BYD in Europe will probably go (way) over 200K

Bizarre thought (that’s more than half of what several German OEMs are doing globally (BEV))

But okay, this is not pure BEV - EU Commission doing double harm?!

China is ramping up exports of EVs, batteries, solar, wind and other clean technologies in high demand

Meanwhile, the US is trying to strongarm its trading partners to buy oil and other fossil fuel products they increasingly don’t need and don’t want
Electrotech is making its way around the world, as China’s clean technology exports hit a RECORD $20bn in August ⚡

This new high was due to rapid growth in:
🚗 EVs
🔋 Batteries

And over HALF of this growth occurred in countries outside of the OECD #COP30

Batteries are coming to Europe. Earlier this year Europe’s largest battery storage site went live at Blackhillock, Scotland.

The facility has a capacity of 300MW/600MWh.

Much larger batteries are under development: A huge 1 GW / 4 GWh system is being constructed in Jänschwalde, Germany.

Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

One of the most self-destructive things Germany could do is to reverse the green transition now.

Renewables expansion has been on a tear but Germany has seen reversals before, unfortunately. And the country still does not have oil or gas and isn’t getting any anytime soon (ever).

Global EV sales broke 20% in Q3'25, of course led/pulled/whatever along by China.
"Almost 2/3 of global BEV sales come from China alone!"
"Norway holds 10th spot in sales, boasts 95% BEV share, highest in the world"
"1st time ever, > 20% of 🚗 sold globally in Q3 =BEV"
"China's leadership mirrored by strong 🇬🇧, 🇧🇪 & 🇳🇴, all surpassing global BEV share of 19%"
