To get some sense of the pace of Australia’s home battery program

At the pace estimated for this year, even without further growth, Australia could install enough home batteries by 2035 to meet California’s goals for ALL batteries (utility, commercial, residential) for 2045 — 10 years early!!!
Australia continues to install home battery systems at a stunning pace

Analysis below estimates Australia is trending toward installing ~3800 MW in one year

Almost double what California has installed ALL TIME (2200 MW)

And CA has a substantially larger population (~39M CA v ~27M AUS)

Household #battery numbers continue to defy all predictions, and they now look set to match the scale of the entire Snowy Mountains scheme in a single year.

2025 was an exceptional year for the Earth's climate
⬆️ Warmest ocean heat content
⬆️ Tied as second warmest surface temps
⬆️ Second warmest troposphere
⬆️ Record high sea level and GHGs
⬇️ Record low winter Arctic ice

Full EV sales in China reached 35% for December and 33% for all of 2025.

Fully one-third of new auto sales are now fully electric in the world’s largest car market.
China's December numbers are in, and battery-electric cars made up 35% in December and 33% for the year. Plug-in hybrids made up another 21% for the year for a total "new-energy" share of 54% in 2025.

Thank you for breaking out full EVs and hybrids separately. So often (esp for China) they are lumped together.

Given the high level of real world emissions from fossil fuel-EV hybrids with a plug the “NEV” percentage by itself is not a particularly useful figure for most purposes.

Beijing reported cleaner air than ever in 2025, with 348 days of good or moderate air quality. It’s largely thanks to strict emissions regulations and the growth of electric cars in Chinese cities. more…

In 1916 the U.S. signed an agreement for control of St. Thomas, St. John & St. Croix, known as the “Danish West Indies,” in exchange for $25 million & a declaration that the U.S. would “not object to the Danish Govt extending their political & economic interests to the whole of Greenland.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.
