Imagine scientists could invent an effective, safe, cheap way to prevent a wide range of terrible diseases and the people in charge of the nation's health system worked hard to stop people from using them.
That would be crazy. Criminal. Immoral. Inexcusable.

People Who Drink Bottled Water on a Daily Basis Ingest 90,000 More Microplastic Particles Each Year
Drinking water in plastic bottles contains countless particles too small to see. New research finds that people who drink water from them on a daily basis ingest far more microplastics than those who ...

Artists, musicians have always been at the forefront of battles against authoritarians and repressive regimes.
Support them.
Issa Rae has canceled her sold out performance at the Kennedy Center. Pulitzer Prize winner Rhiannon Giddens, Peter Wolf, Low Cut Connie, and the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, D.C., have also canceled. Lin-Manuel Miranda has canceled the entire Kennedy Center run of Hamilton.

I don't know about you but I resent having to wait a year or two for a second season of a TV series.
Especially if the first season is only 8 episodes or so.

Let me be explicit. If you hear anyone say replacing fossil fuels with renewables is going to be expensive, they're either misinformed, uninformed, or lying to you.
Even leaving out the massive economic costs of #climate changes caused by burning fossil fuels, #renewables are cheaper now.

Here is a list of 3 stories I am very jealous I did not write this year. ✍🏻

(Kudos to the writers who did!)

First, this brilliant essay by @petergleick.bsky.social about the dangerous contortionist Trump has become — twisting “national security” in knots to justify his personal war on “windmills.”
Trump is manipulating national security to stop energy projects he doesn’t like
On Monday, December 22, the Trump Administration announced it was pausing five major offshore wind energy projects, citing “national security risks.”
