I think the most discouraging thing about all this AI stuff is I feel like it's just deepening the long term game of lauding a dev *until* something dire comes out. Workplace abuses, AI use, theft, sexual harassment, abusive hiring practices, etc. Like just waiting for a shoe to drop all the time.

This reminds me of how the headphones I've been eyeing advertise that they use AI, which would have been a turnoff had I not read further and seen that's just trained signal processing, not generative slop.
