Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

Just landed at LAX. The bathroom at the international baggage claim is filthy, paper strewn everywhere, and 3 of the 6 stalls have broken doors and don’t close properly. Women are gently warning each other as they leave.

Hi! Here's every manga I lettered in 2025. 40 volumes, maybe 43ish if you count omnibuses. This was a recovery year for me "technically" but I still ended up pretty overloaded. I have about the right workload, but time management is a tricky beast. Will try better next year!

this is AMAZING localization!
theres a recurring newscaster in Gintama, like Kent Brockman on THE SIMPSONS. She's called 結野アナ, "Ketsuno Ana", or "Announcer Ketsuno."
only... "ketsuno ana" is a homonym for ケツの穴 ("ketsu no ana"), which means "butthole." How does the dub translate this joke?? by calling her "Maya Sizitzy."

Oh, and incidentally. Those other writers, they are not your competition. They are your colleagues, and the kinder, more generous you are to them the better things will go for you.
2/2 "fame" is not evenly temporally distributed; some people are hot out of the gate, some build over time, some get hot years or even decades after their debut. Every writer you meet, "famous" or not, will remember how you treated them, their friends, and why. Treat everyone as having value.

I genuinely have never understood seeing fellow writers as competition. They’re colleagues and friends; they get the struggle. Players or readers generally like more than one writer, so we can help each other get discovered :)
