Margaret Thatcher potentially being the reason behind the awful horrors in British Silent Hill is so perfect.

Twitter has suspended me for not being a real person so I might just finally nuke that account.

It feels so lame to have an attachment to it for some reason.

Another big loss for original stories in animation. They’re getting harder and harder to tell in the current landscape aside from a few rare exceptions and solutions feel impossible unless there happens to be a way to send the whole system crumbling down 😔🔥
Matt Braly has shared never-before-seen development artwork from his canceled feature film at Sony Pictures Animation.

The project centered on a young boy who embarks on an emotional journey into a fantastical realm of Thai spirits, hoping to find a cure for his illness.

A killer review from Ryan for Romeo is a Deadman. The wild spread of review scores only makes me more curious to check this one out.

Every Suda51 game is a blessing.
Romeo is a Dead Man reviews are all over the place, and that absolutely tracks.

It's filled to the brim with odd moments and decisions. It's fun enough, but its frenetic and bewildering narrative choices made it hard to parse and difficult to score.

Messy, bloody, and wonderfully bizarre.

Finished up my week by guesting on the @indiegamebusiness.bsky.social pod to talk about the modern reality of covering indie games as press.

Check it out! 🙏

First review of the year and kicking things off very strongly with the brilliant Nioh 3, which I’ve not put down over the past two weeks. My review: www.thegamer.com/nioh-3-review/

Nioh 3’s open levels, new Ninja form, and even tighter combat cement it as the best game in the series.

I played four hours of Resident Evil Requiem and oh boy is it shaping up to be a banger.

A real best of both worlds situation that combines the anxiety inducing horror of 7 with the balls-to-the-wall action of recent remakes. It strikes an ideal balance.

You ever listen to a song and think it’d go incredibly well with edited Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children footage?

Like the sort of thing you’d see on Bebo.

I've cemented myself as the coolest younger sister ever by surpising my sibling with BTS London tickets. I don't really know the first thing about K-Pop but seeing her burst into happy tears at the realisation I got them has made my year already ❤️

My bad for all of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake posting lately, but I've also been playing around with the Switch 2 version for a couple of weeks and it's really damn good?

From a distance it's easily on-par with the PS4 original and oftentimes surpasses it.

I've been making my way through Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth on PC and while I love both of these games for a bunch of reasons there's some story changes that just don't hit.

Seeing Sephiroth kill the Midgar Zolom right in front of us rather than stumbling across the corpse is one of them.

I’ve spent most of this week being sick but I did write a little thing about the narrative value of death and letting go in games - especially Cyberpunk 2077.
