Here it is! Absolute labour of love putting this together. From day one, Cyberpunk 2077 has been a story about mortality, and what it means to live on after you die. It was a pleasure to speak with Paweł Sasko and Cherami Leigh about this story. www.thegamer.com/the-making-o...

2025 has been absolutely manic and full of George games, but it’s that time of year so here’s my top 10! www.thegamer.com/game-of-the-...

It’s finally time to talk about how The Year of Ninja stacked up, straight from TheGamer’s head shinobi.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is almost two decades in the making and it's arguably worth the wait? #MetroidPrime4

A faithful evolution of the series with a great world and strong characters that carried me all the way through to the end.

Cosmic Invasion is yet another great beat ‘em up from the masters at Tribute, although Shredder’s Revenge still stands as my all-time favourite. My review: www.thegamer.com/marvel-cosmi...
Marvel Cosmic Invasion Doesn’t Steal TMNT’s Crown, But It’s Still Marvellous
Cosmic Invasion’s varied roster and standout tag team mechanic make it a fantastic brawler, even if it doesn’t quite reach the heights of TMNT.

For the first few hours, I really didn’t get what Kirby Air Riders was going for. I haven’t been able to put it down since it clicked, though, and don’t plan on it anytime soon! My review: www.thegamer.com/kirby-air-ri...
If You Can Stomach The Chaos, Kirby Air Riders Is Something Special
Kirby Air Riders is weird, wild, and occasionally frustrating, but a total blast if you give into its mayhem.

SpongeBob games are usually just popcorn games for me, but Titans of the Tide actually has some pretty creative platforming - definitely the best since BFBB! www.thegamer.com/spongebob-sq...
SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans Of The Tide Review - Bob’s Best Since Battle For Bikini Bottom
Titans of the Tide is the best SpongeBob game in a long time, even if it’s a little lacking in laughs and length.

Kirby Air Riders is one of the strangest racers I've ever played, but it's one that I expect I'll be very into www.thegamer.com/kirby-air-ri...
Be Warned: Kirby Air Riders Is Nothing Like Mario Kart
Kirby Air Riders isn't like any other kart racer, which could end up being its biggest strength or biggest weakness.

Last week, I had the honour of attending an event with many of gaming's top actors. You'll find out what the event was for in the near future, and I'll have another larger report from it, but I also used it as an opportunity to discuss the many injustices video game actors still face.

I also spoke to the legendary Jennifer Hale, who told me in the last few weeks, she was offered less for an appearance at a convention than her male counterparts.

She also discussed the money corporations are leaving behind by not hiring game actors for film and TV.

Jennifer Hale Is Still Being Offered Different Rates To Her Male Counterparts For Appearances, Despite Her Resume Being “Quite A Bit Longer”
The star also discussed how TV and Video corporations need to use video game actors more.

My review of The Outer Worlds 2! I adored it, but had a lot to say about how I feel Obsidian needs to be more earnest. The best moments are when the writing takes the setting and themes seriously www.thegamer.com/the-outer-wo...
The Outer Worlds 2 Review - Shoots For The Moon, Lands Among The Stars
The Outer Worlds 2 improves on the original in every way and is Obsidian's most reactive RPG yet - but I wish it took itself more seriously.

Several of my colleagues were laid off today, and seeing the usual reaction from the usual people pushed me to write a blog post (how retro) about the sad state of online discourse: jackcrustycoleman.com/2025/10/22/l...
Layoffs, Empathy and Blind Hatred
An unfortunate state of affairs.

Incredibly jealous of whoever gets to work with Eric next, one of the most passionate writers I'm lucky enough to call a friend
After 6 years with TheGamer, Valnet has decided to shut down features and lay off the entire team, including me.

I don't know what's next for me but I intend to stay in games, whether that's at another outlet, consulting, or PR. If you have any leads, I'd appreciate any help

In light of being laid off from TheGamer today, I don't intend to let my passions die out. I'll continue to create work independently, and keep that excitement for whatever opportunities come my way in the future.

This was a dream career, and I'm not done with it yet.

Don't really know what to add to this that hasn't been said better, but absolutely gutted to lose so many talented writers and friends today
Valnet unfortunately let go of the entire TheGamer features team today alongside several other staff members.

Many incredibly talented and hard working writers I've had the pleasure of working with over the past several years.

Unfortunately, my time as an Editor for TheGamer.com has come to an end.

I met some of the best coworkers I've ever had there, I learned and grew a lot.

If anyone is looking for a journo, especially for guides, reviews, VR, horror, and farming RPGs, I'd love to hear from you.
