Strikes are popular. Every time there isn't a strike happening someone should be saying "I miss strikes, do you know when the next strike is?"

Soldiers who died for our freedom have routinely not been honoured. Mackenzie-Papineau, for example, but those who died for capitalist governments are framed as martyrs for freedom instead of fodder for capital. Never forget the real impact and causes of war.

Remembrance Day is always framed around the soldiers who died in war, but this anodyne honour is given to justify their deaths. Regretful casualties for noble goals. Millions died in WWI for imperial goals of aging plutocrats. Countless civilians have been killed before and since in the same goal.

no, but there was a period in history where my dad could land in Canada with no money or formal education, get a job at Nortel as an electrical engineer, go over to a rail signalling company, stay there for 36 years, riding up to a reasonably high-paying position, with defined benefit pension
People wildly overestimate the economic security experienced by past generations. There's no period in American history where significant numbers of young people were just handed high paying jobs. Nostalgia for a time that never existed is a huge problem.
Why Nikki Haley’s son went radical: His generation inherited insecurity.

I profile Nalin Haley, a fascinating young man, who I believe will likely play an important role in conservative politics in years to come.

This makes sense. GLP-1 meds reduce inflammation!
Y'all, the hospital where I had my surgery is running trials to see if GLP-1 medications can help people suffering from long COVID. It's open to any person with documented long COVID who lives in the US.

Please pass it on!

Mamdani is going to implement Shakira law. Hips will no longer be able to lie.
Mamdani is going to implement Shania law. That don't impress me much.

Woah woah woah if Mamdani could just stop pointing out that there are oppressors then maybe there wouldn't be oppression.
Zohran Mamdani drops the mask, the Editorial Board writes.

“Witness the mayor-elect’s change of character since his Tuesday election victory.”

The rich won't leave if you tax them.

Norway put a 78% tax on Fossil Fuel, Shell still begged them to drill.

The rich will remain even if they can only make a penny.

They would never let someone else get it.

Liberals entire strategy is to tell you over and over again how good things are going in Canada 🇨🇦 when there is record homelessness, record food insecurity, and record income inequality. They just repeat over and over and over how good of a job they’re doing hoping you believe them. #cdnpoli

Edmonton has had a disturbingly high number of frostbite amputations the last two winters. With freezing temps on the way, both the City and the Government of Alberta must do more to prevent people from freezing in the cold. edmontonjournal.com/opinion/colu... #ableg #yegcc
Opinion: Edmonton doesn't have to be the frostbite capital of the world
Severe frostbite injuries are entirely preventable - together, let’s work towards a city where no one gets left out in the cold.

Part of that is actually striking for regular ass bargaining to flex those muscles vs soft selling bad deals.
