They should just fucking do us all a favor and drink bleach like Trump talked about instead and do us all the favor. Absolutely fucking soulless and spineless cowards. There’s nobody more pathetic than a centrist democrat. Nobody. There isn’t a single good centrist democrat in existence.
weirdly honest messaging from the breakaway mod/institutionalist leaders who blew up the party strategy
they're explicitly giving up. "It wasn't working so we quit" that's the message

Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

It really is getting to the point that we need to burn everything to the fucking ground and start over and that includes the fucking Democratic Party. I’m talking burn it all to the fucking ground. If you’re rich and you don’t think it needs to be burned to the ground then you need to go too.

I fucking hate democrats. I’m so goddamn sick of these pathetic slimy politicians with zero fucking spines. I’ve said it before but most democrats are just like republicans and don’t actually give a fuck about us. They’re just republican lite. They likely just cost themselves 2026 & 2028. Fuck them.

I refuse to support a funding bill that fails to address the Republican health care crisis.
And make health insurance affordable.
The American people clearly understand the stakes and the urgency. We must too.
I'm voting no.

The people don't want a king. The people don't want Democrats to surrender. The people don't want only two parties.
The people don't want any of this.

I thought the shutdown was the fight, did I get that wrong
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis
For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare
We will keep fighting

A leader would not have lost eight colleagues tonight. This happened because you let it happen or because you’ve totally lost control of the caucus in one of the most important moments since you’ve been Democratic leader. Either way, it’s on you. You need to step down. We need someone who can lead.

It really does seem like there's a decent chance that these senators screwed us because they don't want their personal Thanksgiving plans to be disrupted.
Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

Tuesday’s elections were NOT about the Democratic Party.
They were about candidates focusing on the wants and needs of their constituents; about new leaders prepared to fight; about representation in every sense of the word.
Party leaders haven’t absorbed this yet.
