😆 I mean you'd be unforgettable. Like the man who was downstairs in boxer shorts and a blue blazer, no pants/shirt, with dress shoes and no socks. Oh the things I cannot unsee.

Ever since the American Political Science Association annual convention main hotel in 2014 was evacuated at 2AM because of a fire, now when I buy new pajamas, I think about whether it would be appropriate to greet the public in the outfit. An arsonist was setting small fires in the hotel stairwells

I just got the list of the five mandatory video trainings we have to complete at Brooklyn College each year. They added a new one this year. Groan.

Helpful review of past fed Indian law cases. "The Supreme Court, becoming known as a tribunal willing to overturn some of its major decisions, could only muster two votes on Monday to reconsider one of the most fiercely condemned rulings on the law governing America’s Indian tribes."
One of the most reviled decisions by SCt on Indian law, the 1886 decision in US v. Kagama, withstands a challenge today. Only 2 JJ voted to hear it. SCt also refused to reconsider same-sex marriage precedent. Details at:

I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

the pandemic really fucked him up. he had no expertise in public health, but felt like being a quant guy should make him an expert by default, and people not agreeing with him on that point just sent him into a bizarre radicalizing ego spiral.
