unfortunately some of the stereotypes about social sciences that conservatives have, largely false in like Econ, Poli sci, etc. are partially true about education research (lots of exceptions, etc). it's really bad.

If not pet, why pet-shaped?
City raccoons are showing early signs of domestication. They never want to go out anymore, just get stuff done around the den and maybe stream some show and call it an early night. www.scientificamerican.com/article/racc...
City Raccoons Are Evolving to Look More Like Pets
City-dwelling raccoons seem to be evolving a shorter snout—a telltale feature of our pets and other domesticated animals

Almost certainly Seattle. Population went from 600k->800k, the city went from no rail system to a top-10 busiest network, region became an absolute economic powerhouse, there’s a total transformation of the waterfront, and so much more

Every time CNN or another network do this “Trump has not been accused of wrongdoing” disclaimer, Dems or left-leaning pundits should light them up and say “uhh, excuse me, Dana, but Trump is very much accused of wrongdoing.”
Trump is demanding that GOP side with him over Epstein's victims, Rep Ansari tells me. She had a harrowing exchange with one victim who recounts how her mom had cancer and he exploited that.

Also note her mockery of network disclaimers on Trump. More like this, Ds:

Yesterday, I had a conversation that really showed how much the "fear of taking any decision and being criticized for it" is the driving force behind most public sector agencies' (in)action in Canada.

Unless this culture changes, we can't have a functional public sector.

I've never understood the numbering of platforms in French railway stations (letters, numbers, sometimes not in order)

And now I have watched a video about it... and I understand even less
www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxq2...

Other than - typical SNCF - NONE of this is designed with passengers in mind
Pourquoi les numéros de voies de cette gare ne se suivent pas ?

Any other time, any other President, and "the dude was in a global conspiracy to fuck them kids" would have been 24/7 coverage. Even Dubya.

I remember the fucking Lewinsky coverage. Our media have become craven hacks carrying water for rich pedophiles and I feel insane typing that but there it is.

" renting even less common in swing states" man what the fuck are you talking about.

Have you ever been to ANY city in Florida? You think all those sprawling apartment complexes are just for show?
This is real urban liberal brain. Rent is very high in liberal cities but the vast majority of all American voters have fixed rated of mortgages or own outright. With renting even less common in swing states.
Housing is one of the top issues all around the country.

One thing I think about a lot is that a presidential candidate who runs on a "rent is too damn high" platform could really win.

It’s despicable. Where I live they build apartments they rent to undergrads for $1500 a month for a room and shared kitchen/living space. And also a bunch of short term rentals.

The main issue with dem elites is they do not possess a will to power. They still hope that their republican colleagues will come to their senses and the dual power arrangement that existed before the 1990’s can be restored.

One huge upside to the pendulum effect bringing woke back is that I won’t get to hear people complaining about ID politics under the guise of “It hurts Democrats!”

COME ON PENDULUM SWING BACK TO WOKE FASTER!!!!

Read the post above.

There’s evidence that Epstein was picking cabinet secretaries in the first term!
Oh god is the reason why Trump is so much more unstable term 2 is because Epstein is dead???

It seems like a bad outcome that we don’t produce pickups that would be better for the environment and safety that there’s high demand for. My understanding is that as with housing it’s a regulatory failure.
People make me offers, in person or through notes on my windshield, to buy my truck all the time. Probably why my 1st Tacoma was stolen.

if you hate the writer, do not share the writer's articles. people clicking on the articles is how the writer gets paid. "how do THEY still have a job in journalism, when so many talented people are being laid of?!" you, because of you. you are why.

NYT employees are all posting "how dare you disparage our institution, the paper of record."

The paper of record: Get a lot of this trollop luring innocent men of power with sex to straighten her luxury bones
what the ever loving shit is this wording? tbh, more of your writers need to get dragged into a crashout, @nytimes.com because wtf.

she was also homeless as a minor. dental/orthodontic shit isn’t a want so much as it’s a need (bad teeth can fuck up someone’s heart!). this was sex trafficking.

I'm starting to think that what news consumers think is newsworthy and what reporters think is newsworthy is very different and not in a way that reflects well on reporters.
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

If your go-to attack, before accusations of conspiracy theorizing and misogyny, is that someone is beneath your regard because they’re a “rando” unlike you, one of the Important People, maybe take a step back and think about what that says about you.
"I'm a rando who prefers to believe that everything is a conspiracy and am happy to tell women that I know better than she does how their literal job works" That a news org makes an editorial decision you wouldn't (or I wouldn't) doesn't mean someone is killing a story on behalf of a powerful person
"I write for the New York Times, and I can assure you that we've never buried stories on behalf of powerful people, many of those powerful people being part of NYT management. We only publish what's fit to print, like Zohran's application to Columbia that was leaked by a white nationalist"

One of the reasons people--myself included--are upset is the lack of transparency from the Times about this entire situation when they've gone on endless crusades against transgender people on flimsy evidence or ideological whim; we can also talk about the Mamdani/Columbia thing or Claudine Gay.
