Dismal framing. Every aspect of most asylum seekers’ lives is controlled & paid for by the Home Office. They can’t work, are told where to live & have no autonomy or dignity. So they aren’t *choosing* to use taxis & don’t need to be “banned” from doing so. The HO just needs to get its act in order.
Government to ban asylum seekers from using taxis
The ban is set to come in February and any exemptions will have to be signed off by the Home Office.

Ambulances are a good thing aren't they? Saving lives, etc. But they are very expensive. So why waste them on the 15,000 casualties on England's 30mph roads which could be avoided if UK Gov followed Wales/ Scotland by setting 20mph as an urban/village norm.www.20splenty.org/gb2024stats

I started wondering.. maybe these painted bike symbols do not actually have any magic powers y to keep cyclists safe?

You don't necessarily need traffic lights and stop signs to keep traffic moving smoothly. Especially in places with low car traffic, traffic is perfectly able to regulate itself with just a few small design elements (shark's teeth, zebra crossings).

Indicating can safe lives…this bus driver might need a reminder!
Luckily the cyclist decided to not go on the inside of the bus, despite the painted bike lane inviting this dangerous manoeuvre

How is that the joint top priority to worry about everyday is immigration? It’s not personal health, having a secure home to live in nor putting food on the table. Dare I suggest people’s concerns are predominantly led by the media (which is terrifying)

Labour, supporting the economy by decimating one of Britain's strongest industries... Be under no illusions, this is a deliberate choice by government to push already struggling universities over the cliff edge.

Labour could tax wealth, instead they trash industries.

“When the bridge closed, about 25,000 vehicles crossed it daily… Six years later, 9,000 of those journeys have vanished - not diverted to other crossings, but simply evaporated. Yet the local economy has adapted, air quality has improved, and overall traffic congestion has lessened.”

Compare and contrast the Government language.

£3,750 EV grant on a £35k car: ‘helping families’.

Cycle to Work: ‘subsidising leisure’.

And yet cycling delivers TEN TIMES the impact of electric cars for reaching net zero. It’s almost like narrative, not data, is driving policy.

Even with my heating on - its cold.

My days.

My heart goes out to anyone who shamefully, is forced to sleep rough in 2025. Where I live in Putney, you see people sleeping in empty shop doorways everyday. And its not a rarity, it common. No way should anyone be sleeping outside in these conditions.
