I am building and riding #SpaceCakes

I work to create spaces for people on bikes to feel seen and celebrated. I care about freedom from cars, safe streets, and supporting all who ride.

I see you…

You’re out here raising hell and hauling snacks. Counter culture with cargo bike capacity.
Best way to end up with extra power converters, is to forget you already went to Tosche Station.

I had em packed away so neatly I missed them completely.

Any company that has birds chirping and kids playing in the background of your Ebike battery set up video is all right by me!
@gouach.bsky.social just got my starter pack! Very excited to start the build process!

After weeks shut down, the bike shop is going to open again.

They didn’t patch the flat, but promised a “comprehensive inflation plan” by spring.

Seems like it's well past time to do something about these so-called "cars".

There is NO SAFE WAY to drive a light duty truck or SUV for transportation.

Last night a mother was killed and her babies hospitalized in a horrific head on collision just out side of Chicago.

Shame on anyone who uses these tanks to protect themselves at the cost of those around them.
Somewhere along the way, freedom of movement became freedom from responsibility.

The search for a superior moral justification for selfishness has never idled this smoothly.

Trying a different arrangement of LEDs for under glow and interior lighting. Is all this red lighting too intense?

The speakers and side panels are still RGB.

Keep in mind I’m considering some red rear brake lights as well…

Just spotted a 2000’s model Corvette with a Norco full DH rig on the highway.

Sorry I didn’t get a picture. It was super rad

Neighborhood high schooler is likely to get some sort of E-Moto soon.

I’ve worked with him on road safety training, protective gear selection, and taught some maintenance.

I’ll continue to coach his parents about the legality and where it’s allowed to ride.

A symptom of poor cycling infrastructure in our area.

An Ebike can flatten a hill but only if you feel safe riding them.

I overheard a conversation between two folks discussing the reliability of their old cars and their need for contingency funds if something goes wrong.

Car ownership sucks for almost everyone

We sold out 2 tamale vendors, bought out 2 more vendors, and absolutely swarmed a family owned bakery. It was a good day with some the very best of #BikeChi 🥰 for the 4th installment of the Street Vendor Bike Tour. We persist. ✊🏽

Ok fine we can keep some of the roads, but only if we make them for autonomous bus/tram thingies.

Skip to 1:40 to see it pull up to a station and what the ride is like.

One of the biggest problems with protected bike lanes in North America, is that you're extremely unprotected every hundred metres or so.
almost got run over on my bike by a car taking a left turn across a protected bike lane without looking just now. it was of course the citibike repair van 👍👍

If more of us choose cycle or ride the bus, was there even a car to begin with?
