An astonishing 90% of primary schools in Lambeth now have school streets. These are helping make journeys to school safer, they improving air quality for the children and are enabling more kids to walk, scoot and cycle to school.

It is great working with @rezinachowdhury.bsky.social and team.

Labour seem to be getting it wrong every time
A key point about "volunteering" is that it should be "voluntary". By forcing migrants to volunteer this government not only treats us as if we are a free resource, but also ignores everything else we go through. This policy is dehumanising and exploitative.

When I leave on my bike I’m thinking “what’s the safest way to get there?”

This is the problem with politicians focused on the short term. Imagine that apprentice working really hard for their qualifications who now doesn’t know if they will have a full time position in a few weeks time. Destroying this market will be a Labour gift to Reform in so many ways.
Imagine the impact that even this rumour has on the businesses that had begun to grow on the back of the heatpump market?
Sounds like Labour/Starmer/Reeves are about to kill off the UK heat pump industry putting thousands of people at risk of redundancy

It is possible that if Jeremy Corbyn had been PM he would have been less disastrous & incompetent than Keir Starmer. At least Corbyn would have had the excuse of having the entire British establishment ranged against him trying to undermine him. Starmer has no such excuses

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

The insanity of this of course is that people can currently get a much bigger tax break on cars. Investing in heat pump is investing in low carbon infrastructure - to remove the subsidies increases costs in the long term. This government is as mad as a box of frogs.

Whilst it makes sense to have a cap on the cycl to work scheme, a government that cares about the most in need would level the % tax rebate AND also apply the same £££ cycle scheme cap to work car schemes .... but we know Labour won't do that www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
