Busy morning painting over unsightly graffiti on Russell’s footpath in Streatham. Great to be joined by Steve Reed MP who picked up a brush and started painting with us.
Very proud of the repainted pigeon even though I had to resort to finger painting due to a lack of fine tip brushes!

Lambeth Council partnered with Big Local North Brixton & Impact on Urban Health to explore heat risk, identifying the most heat-vulnerable areas & with hyper local partners engaging residents directly. This is what climate action looks like: local, collaborative, & full of heart.

An article in the Financial Times argued that Britain should “fall in love with cars again” and invest in more motorways.

It was an inspiring afternoon full of hope as we listened to Jewish and Muslim women on how we can work together in facing the challenges in an increasingly polarised world.

Twitter is an utter cesspit of bigotry and racism, making it harder for someone like me to stay on there.
Also, bit ironic that those who opine free speech make it impossible for others to exercise their right to Freedom of Expression.

I left Twitter recently because of the constant harassment from certain people opposed to healthy neighbourhoods & any form of public realm improvement relating to road danger reduction and air quality improvement. Some are trying to follow me here. So I am blocking them of course 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Eric Pickles (remember him?) ended the Local Government Pension Scheme for new Councillors in 2014.
Now, 11 years later, at the Labour Party conference, Steve Reed MP has just announced that he is reversing this decision in recognition of the huge contribution of local councillors! 🎉

Actually heard these two arguments from cranky speakers at a Community Board meeting back-to-back.
How is it that they are useless and empty but the next person says they are so crowded it is dangerous to cross the street?
