Completely unoriginal thought but: it's frustrating that the actual experience of living in large cosmopolitan multicultural city (London Uk in my case) is actually pretty dope, but a lot of politics is organised around this being a nightmare scenario that must be apologised for and avoided.

A man told me yesterday that it was important to "take emotion out of the equation“ when analysing the situation in the US, at which point I told him very calmly that "a woman who disagrees with you is not necessarily emotional".

My thoughts on US foreign policy even before this point nearly always started with "how do I avoid my country's government jumping in and making things worse?" Now it seems a lot of the rest of y'all are on the same page as me. But I don't know what we can do about it. Any suggestions?
