props to the worst possible response to this, who ate a block just for pure idiocy: that the great filter is a trans woman on bluesky doubting that sam altman is a few decades away from building a dyson swarm
for some reason all the techbros have been talking about building Dyson Spheres all of a sudden and to be clear: we are so comedically far from being able to build a dyson sphere that they may as well be promising magic. we are MILLENIA away from building dyson spheres

Called and spoke with Adobe customer support and the guy told me Adobe is discontinuing Animate because apparently the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.

the other thing here is that in a lot of creative fields Adobe isn't a choice. When you sign onto a project, you use the software they want you to use, and that's more often than not the industry standard. If you want work, you need to be on Adobe.
I keep seeing the “reminder don’t use Adobe here are the alternatives” image going around and folks, the problem is not just that Adobe sucks, the problem is they’re blocking legal access to decades of art files utilized by individuals and entire teams
