When I was 7 years old I wanted to be a pirate and ran around saying "shiver me timbers!" and "Yar!" but a career raiding Spanish galleons for gold dubloons never happened. It was a phase I grew out of and has had zero effect on my life. You gotta let kids figure shit out.

As a trans adult, I don't give a FUCK what your kid plays with because being trans isn't tied to those stereotypes. Using those terms - I was a tomboy, etc - are ways in which we trans people make a complex internal experience understandable to other people. It is not the whole of it!
