re-introducing myself for the new pinned post: i'm Ezra, a queer/trans Jewish illustrator & mixed/multi-media creator of everything from zines to jewelry to weird little guys ✴ focused on monsters, magic & marginality ✴ all my links at ezrarose.carrd.co
not doing art vs. artist 2025. apart from that collage zine (sort of lukewarmly received offline, i think i sold maybe 2-3 copies at shows), i made/finished very little of my own art, & while i'm proud of the commission work i did, i can't even show all of it yet. plus i avoided photos. hard year.

showed it to my partner last night (they loved it) & was delighted to find two more instances of the ghost that i missed the first time. i think of that as such a convention of much later horror films - give this movie its awards!!! 😤 the first & still the best!!!

unfortunately i've managed to repeat last year's "one Etsy shop update & then a lot of hopeful promises until suddenly it's November & i realize i need to just keep whatever stock i have for the upcoming Hanukkah market" 😩

finally caught up with this recently on the (longstanding!) recommendation of my partner & i think it’s one of the most compelling ensemble character studies in webcomics. just a super high level of craft all around
I’ve been working on this free webcomic series for 7 years now and the book we are printing now is probably one of my favorite stories from the series. If you’d like a copy, there are 3 days left to get one.
