Animator for games. Prev: The Plucky Squire, Battletoads, The Swords of Ditto. Current: something else!
Something refreshing about playing Resident Evil (2002) is how you have to make mental maps all the time in terms of optimal routes, layouts of your carried items, whether or not an enemy is going to regenerate. There’s a door that breaks and eventually becomes a one way route. That’s hilarious!

The videogame version of Letterboxd is literally called ‘backloggd’! We don’t need more games 😱 The tools are good, it’s the economy that needs ‘democratizing’

Replaying Resident Evil remake as I’ve done every few years since I was a teen, and that game really came out at the perfect time. Right on the cusp of graphical breakthroughs while retaining the core of the genre. Genuinely moody and tense while remaining extremely kitsch. 10/10

The games price thing is always a funny because most people my age will compare prices now to prices in the late 80s to mid 90s. And yeah that $40 copy of Kirby’s Adventure would be nearly $100 bucks now. But I was a kid, and got maybe a couple games annually between gifts and chore money?

I like when there are Konami games

I read that little black and white instruction manual like it was the Bible, which is why I still remember Knuckles’ favorite food is grapes

Every Super Bowl ad is for the door in the forest. It’s annoying. “You must walk through the door.” Yeah thanks, I know that already. I dream of the door every night

I’m genuinely surprised how the Pragmata demo hooked me. I wasn’t that interested but I really liked how it played.

Take the Muppet Show to series and get Paul Williams to host stat, that man is in his eighties

I love Bill and Ted and I genuinely hope they make a fourth movie when they’re in their eighties

There haven’t actually been new features in two years and I’m wondering if Adobe even noticed that
Update: Adobe Animate will continue to be available in the future, with support in "maintenance mode" only (security & bug fixes), there will be no new features.

This is incredible

A smart company would wake up to the fact that they still have an enormous userbase *in spite* of everything and attempt to match their competitor’s tools, but, alas, it’s Adobe

I’m glad we all united in the power of pure spite
Adobe appears to have reversed course on this. Animate is safe, at least for the immediate future.

I’ve got a lot of feelings on this Animate thing. I wanted to move on to something else ages ago, but the timing never lined up. When I started on Plucky Squire, I was hired as the only animator. Learning on the job and producing stuff at a snail’s pace just wasn’t an option. Flash worked.

To be clear, I absolutely know that alternatives are shared with good intentions. People should make their way to other programs at the earliest opportunity.
I keep seeing the “reminder don’t use Adobe here are the alternatives” image going around and folks, the problem is not just that Adobe sucks, the problem is they’re blocking legal access to decades of art files utilized by individuals and entire teams

I honestly didn’t think Adobe could sink any lower but here we are, straight up killing access to accessing FLA files
Wait, WHAT?!! How come I didn't hear about this???!!!

The way I sat up in my chair when I saw “also starring Jeffrey Combs” on the tubi movie that started autoplaying
January 31, 2026 at 6:02 AM
I think the reason Tubi resonates with people is seeing how even the crummiest 70s sleaze of a horror movie looked like a real damn movie

Hey yall. As you've seen here - unfortunately a large portion of the ivy road team was laid off today, myself included. We're all looking for work! Gonna do a quick thread about those who were laid off today and why you should hire them:
While we've gotten affirming feedback on Engine Angel, pitching unfortunately hasn't been successful. As a result, we've had to make the hard decision to lay off five team members. Each of these devs are incredible: if you have a place on your team, or know someone hiring, please keep them in mind!⬇
