when i was a kid, i used movies to navigate my own trauma at home.
in college i discovered that the kids in my favorite movies had been abused by the adults in their lives, and i still grieve.
we don't know what we've lost from all these predators' and enablers' abuse.
it wasn't worth it.

i am working on scheduling a major surgery because when i tried to tell doctors over the last 10-15 years that something was wrong, they would shrug.
10-15 years ago this probably could have been treated with medication or a minor procedure.

This actually is probably correct in a certain way. Punishing women for their existence and operating under the VERY standard medical belief that women are required to be in pain and they should just endure it is a reasonable explanation for why MAHA would come out against pain medication.
