@sharonk.bsky.social obviously doesn't need me to tell her this but the idea that nobody in Democratic politics is raising alarm bells over this because no one in the general public cares is insufficient. Nobody in elite politics cares either. That's the main problem. The liberal elite is sclerotic.
It's not great that Democratic FP priorities are largely outsourced to the three biggest clowncar think tanks in Washington.

Perhaps a bunch of people decided to be unfair and shitty to this guy for bullshit reasons. Perhaps people felt unsafe or exploited or just annoyed. But this is again one beef between a dude and one group of people. I don't get the need to defend it ideologically but I just don't think it matters.
