Real black pilled on the military. The oath means absolutely nothing at all, apparently. Happy to be praetorians, just as long as the check clears.

A lot of the media reporting on Venezuela and the shock comes from a failure of imagination that things can get profoundly worse and more chaotic.

This doesn’t mean you should be crushed by those eventualities, but you need to at least imagine they are possible. Like Trump getting reelected.

What the fuck? Venezuela still has a government and isn’t under US control to any degree!

by Trump's own admission, Maduro seemed to have attempted massive overtures in the last few days and he simply wasn't interested. Likewise Iran by almost all accounts approached the issue of deescalating and discussing a new nuclear deal in good faith and Trump was simply not interested.

For other countries it is unfortunately seriously worth thinking about how in two successive cases in a row the United States seemingly has used negotiations as a feint from the very beginning while preparing devastating and senseless bombing campaigns which they execute no matter what

They aren’t opposed to Maduro so much as they simply want to swap Trump in for him
Cilia Flores, who was captured by the U.S. with her husband, Venezuela’s longtime authoritarian president, Nicolás Maduro, is one of the country’s most powerful political figures. She helped consolidate his rule while controlling the judiciary and amassing wealth through corruption, experts say.

The @nytimes.com muddying the illegality of a thoroughly corrupt pustulent President illegally invading and kidnapping another foreign leader by focussing on the corruption of the leader who was kidnapped.

The unsubtle justification of an illegal act by their biggest paper.

Just fucking awful.

Keir Starmer, PM of the UK, holder of one of the five permeable seats on the UN Security Council who have a veto is a coward.

Posted this an hour ago and only on the Nazi site.

You see, in 2022 Russia invaded the Ukraine. Since then, Ukraine has been defending itself using all means possible. That includes drones. They've destroyed all sorts of places such as military bases & oil depots, but not Putin's home.

That was just a Russian lie believed only by Donald Trump.
What the HELL is going on?

again, a lot of our current problems are downstream of the gradual self-abolition of congress
one major problem with civ/mil is that the mil side believes that they are supervised by the executive exclusively.
You can have democracy or you can have a military that fixes the mistakes of the electorate. You can’t have both.

He cannot even bring himself to speak against American forces kidnapping Maduro, and you want to try and assert that my questioning of Starmer's approach to the US are invalid or unreasonable because I don't agree with a good deal of his political choices?
BREAKING: Keir Starmer says he needs to "establish all the facts" before commenting on the capturing of Venezuela's President by the US

"What I can say is that the UK was not involved in any way in this operation"

I'm not going to apologise for being critical of a Prime Minister who, on this issue and others, shown nothing but abject cowardice and an inability to look beyond lunch.

You being uncomfortable with Starmer being criticised is an issue for you and says more about you than it does me.

Not sure how much longer Starmer‘s pathetic attempts to woo Trump are going to last, or at least be thought of as an asset.

Oust Starmer, he fights for Trump, not the UK 🇬🇧.

We need a real leader who puts Britain and our real allies first, not the tyrant in Florida.

I want the fascist infestation gone, not compromised with. We lost a decade to the latter.
the reason people sometimes act madder at democrats than republicans when republicans do impossibly evil shit is the same reason why, if you hired an exterminator to handle a roach infestation and he showed up to feed and play with them instead, your first instinct wouldn’t be to yell at the roaches

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.
