Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

The Trump administration State Department is taking money that's supposed to be used for helping vulnerable refugees around the world and using it to bribe corrupt governments into taking people that ICE can't deport to their home countries.

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

I am sorry but fuck this, we need to RECALL ELECTION every single Senate Quisling.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.

Change my mind.

The naïveté of an aging US Senator who thinks their MAGA colleagues who are mid fascist coup are trustworthy.

Resign Shaheen, you quisling.

White Nationalists put them up as a threat against all. The UK government spent weeks making excuses for it. But the reality is that fascists planted flags across the country as a show of force. Knowing that spineless politicians would sanewash their political action into “just patriotism”

Just now: The plaintiffs who were arguing that Utah GOP's congressional map is illegal won in court.

The judge orders one of the two maps submitted by the plaintiffs ('map 1') be used.

The ruling, if it stands, guarantees that Democrats will pick up a congressional seat in Utah next year.

I do not understand the Labour government's reticence over defending the BBC and social media regulation. Their long-term survival basically depends on it. Their cowardice in the face of it may be the single thing they are most remembered for.

Me remembering a senior politician condescendingly telling me that they needed oil and gas at COP because otherwise it was impossible to transition.
Yes, this is correct. And the reason is because our capitalist classes have decided that it is not sufficiently profitable, so they're not going to do it.

We must understand this reality. Capital *cannot* be relied upon to address the climate crisis.

I guess what I mean is virtually no one who says this from a Western POV would be happy with any of their little vassal regimes in Amman, or Riyadh, or Doha, or god forbid the most important of Cairo suddenly became receptive to the democratic whims of their populace regarding Palestine.
In my experience the vast majority of the people who go "the Palestinians have the worst allies" themselves do not support anything Palestinians aspire to or desire on a political level.
