The only acceptable Keynesianism to the Labour right is military / weaponised Keynesianism. Impossible to harness state capacity for jobs & infrastructure in eg the NHS, council housing, social care or education. But loadsa cash to funnel to arms manufacturers to build munitions that'll gather dust

Roll it back.

Roll it all back.

I want to see my kid suffer and work it out - they’re going back to playing 16bit games like Aladdin or Lion King because of how purposefully hard they were.
We are very close to having an genAI-developed game being played by a genAI player, and I wonder if anyone involved in this process ever stopped to wonder whether this is a good use of time and resources
Sony has patented an AI gaming ghost that will play PlayStation games for you when you get stuck www.eurogamer.net/sony-has-pat...

Nothing can tell you more about the absolute disconnect between the political class and the rest of us than their insistence that Wes Streeting is the key to electoral success.
"SCOTTISH Labour MPS are privately calling for Wes Streeting to stand against Sir Keir Starmer before May to avoid a wipeout in the Holyrood election, The Telegraph can reveal.

"The Health Secretary’s allies are pushing for a “Wes coronation” to give Labour new energy in Scotland..."

Quite something if unsurprising watching all the proud & principled History Understanders whose business has been scolding lefties with insufficient martial spirit eveytime they launch another disastrous illegal war now go: "yeah, now the chips are actually down we're appeasing the fash TO THE MAX"
The defeatists masking as realists are already calling for Europe to just abandon Greenland to the US.

Saudi Arabia has now remembered the efficacy of weaponizing the issue of palestine. And the UAE bet on the wrong horse when they became a conduit of israeli policy in the region, thinking that people wouldn't care what happens to Palestinians.
I hate having to check in on XTwitter but man the war between Saudi and UAE influencers and bots over there the last few days is something to behold. It’s wild. More soon.

"It doesn't get cold because the temperature goes down", basically
Keir Starmer has this morning urged Cabinet to keep its nerve amid grim opinion polling (today’s YouGov put Labour in third place behind Reform & Tories)

“Governments do not lose because polls go down. They lose when they lose belief or nerve. We will do neither,” he said

I agree with the government. Reacting and condemning Trump’s actions and behaviour is a waste of time. You can’t reason with a demented sadistic malignant narcissist. Thank goodness we have a sensible stable government in this country. I am so grateful for that. Be very careful what you wish for

The "funny" thing about the Labour government staying on the CSAM site is that it's extremely obvious why: They don't want to upset Trump or tech oligarchs.

But British pundits can't point this out for the same reasons and because they actively recommended Britain end up in this situation.

Not the most important thing. But this contract was - probably unlawfully - awarded without competition. But the Court of Appeal, under pressure from the Tories over our VIP lane judicial reviews, said there was no public interest in who Government awards contracts to so there can be no challenge.
Yet another huge contract, awarded without any competitive bidding process, to Wes Streeting's favourite NHS supplier, the Hard Right US surveillance tech specialists Palantir, for military decision making capability.
Palantir lands biggest ever UK defense deal
The £240 million contract with the Ministry of Defence has renewed a debate about Britain’s dependence on American technology.

No one is asking Wes Streeting to be a commentator.

Asking him to be a government minister when the whole world can see Trump breaking international law whilst threatening Greenland next, and the Cabinet (with Nigel Farage) seems perfectly fine with it.
Wes Streeting is asked if Trump has broken international law when it comes to Venezuela. Streeting says he's got nothing to add and he's not here to be a commentator.

I mean, which idiot thinks politicians should answer questions when they're being interviewed in a TV studio!

Ofcom’s Online Nation Report 2025 shows X is no longer a mainstream platform in the UK. Fewer people use it, engagement is tiny, and harm is concentrated.

The other big problem, and not just for Britain, is how capitalism - a system premised on infinite growth - can manage with a shrinking population. And the answer for that too is ... it can't.
I'm afraid there *is* an obvious answer: it can't.

Streeting is the pathetic sniveller in school who'll watch on as the bully grinds one of the little kid's face into the tarmac while doing nothing before pleading to the teacher that the bully had a point & the little kid had it coming & lecturing the other kids that "bullying is bad"
Wes Streeting, part of a govt that won't confirm it'd uphold an ICC arrest warrant, won't meet its obligations under the genocide convention, & won't condemn what the US has done in Venezuela, says he's concerned about the disintegration of the rules based international system
