Said cool kid basically sets the tone for the group as a whole. This is not a situation that I believe is very good for anyone, and often leads to cults or people with horrifically bad judgement being given authority and status, if not direct power.

One trend I've noticed with every single anarchist affinity group I've ever interacted with is, even if they officially promote a flat hierarchy, and even if they attempt to put that into practice - one guy always seems to be 'first among equals' that everyone wants to hang out with, the cool kid

I would have very little moral qualms about a war on polluters were we blow up their facilities and execute their leaders extrajudicially, but alas, the world is partially owned by pedophilic enslaver oil barons

Unironically I believe bombing the katsapi refineries and depots has been more effective in mitigating climate change than the efforts of all of climate activism put together for the last decade

If the answer is 'authoritarians like the Saudis and Emirates will be leery of investing in Europe' - than say that! And then we can talk about the amorality of modern finance. But otherwise, I have to assume all these threats are bullshit.

And, in a trend I find continuously infuriating, it doesn't even list what 'legal and financial' risks Belgium is claiming to be under threat from! Who, exactly, is going to punish the EU for seizing Russian blood money? Who?
