Some of the best advice I ever received was Holly telling us to ask the local florist to go wild and do their thing rather than get a pre-packaged arrangement.
Everybody post your floral Ws as they come in tomorrow, as a treat
We’re employing the @hollyanderson.bsky.social method of floral gifts for my mother-in-law’s birthday, first time I’ve gotten to utilize it!

When a sitting representative refers to the Super Bowl halftime show as “pornography,” people should use that to reflect on how they and other representatives are simultaneously working to ban, censor, and restrict “pornography” and what that actually means

Okay, yes, admittedly electric typewriters *existed* at the time.

Age verification?

I was introduced to typing on a non-electric typewriter.

My first TV was black and white.

I own a Pikachu pedometer because my grandma didn't know what I meant when I said I wanted Pokemon Yellow Version.

This is the kind of thing that D voters think about but shouldn’t be.

In 2024 there were lots of people worried about Elon hacking the machines and very little “hey is the right wing just buying time to lie on every Spanish language media outlet”

Looks like the actually do allot more than two weeks to the games, then. They just lie about it.
February 7, 2026 at 4:26 PM
Not to mention everything I heard in the media saying the games start 6 Feb.

I stand with County Executive Calvin Ball as he signs emergency legislation today prohibiting privately owned buildings from being used as ICE detention centers.

Howard County chose dignity, accountability, and its people. Tune into our event now:

Wait, I've already missed multiple days of curling? The Open Ceremony was yesterday! If the games had already started then what the hell did the ceremony actually open!?

Hey Baltimore folks, 1) don't go outside if you don't have to, it is hella icy on top of everything else, and 2) PLEASE bring your trash/recycle bins & parking-space-saving chairs in from the street!!! They could turn into scary wind-borne projectiles if those 60mph gusts really do hit us

production of The Muppet Show should not be dependent on petty vulgarities like “ratings” or “revenue.” it should be preserved as a vital function of american culture. it should have a taxpayer-funded budget rivaling the CIA

So, first of all, of course it was Trump.

But even if they were telling the truth, "We give staffers who post videos of the Obamas as apes access to the agenda-setting, decree-sending, market-moving account of the president of the United States" is not the exculpatory statement they think it is.
