When I was little, an uncle told me that Superman, Batman, and Spiderman were all the same person but would wear their underwear differently: inside: Batman, or outside: Superman, or on their face: Spiderman. I believed that well into adulthood.

Forty years since Ted Hughes wrote his single most excruciating Laureate poem, for the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson

It is notable that Andrew has been arrested for "misconduct in public office", which is precisely what the US Supreme Court decided no American president can ever be charged with.
So SCOTUS, with its fabricated-out-of-thin-air immunity doctrine, has actually made American presidents less accountable than LITERAL royalty.
Breaking News: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, was arrested in Britain on suspicion of misconduct in public office over his links to Jeffrey Epstein, the BBC said.

The Greens warned the hate laws were biased and would target the wrong people. It took less than a month for police to raid Dissent Bar and prove every concern right. Laws supposedly about antisemitism are being used against anti-fascists.

Been a day. I heard the Albo interview on Sydney radio this morning. Very interesting to hear him celebrate his government restricting kids access to social media, for the good of children, after saying that Australian kids stuck overseas as ‘the responsibility of their mothers’. 🗑️

The BBC’s reporting of Andrew’s arrest is quite hilarious. The anchor keeps saying, “according to protocol we will not name the 66 year old man arrested today”. Guest: “Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s home at Sandringham has been searched by Metropolitan Police.” 🤣

The worst thing about being arrested on your birthday is it rules out the possibility of getting a cake with a file in it for another 364 days.

Just a little reminder that Waterstone's (& Barnes & Noble US) are currently owned by US hedge fund Elliott Investments, controlled by billionaire Paul Singer - a big supporter of Israel, major donor to Friends of the IDF, friend of Netanyahu & Trump. Maybe preorder with an indie bookshop instead...
