this is *literally* backed up academically, studies have found that among elderly widow/ers men are more likely to have lost all their social connections because they leave things like birthday cards and social invitations to their wives, whereas widowed women's social lives are often thriving.
A lot of the Male Loneliness Epidemic can be traced back to the fact that most cis dudes don’t participate in communal logistics.
I think @sarahjeong.bsky.social said it's because they devalue women's labor and a LOT of this Scary Logistics stuff comes from people who don't understand that basically all of the civic life they enjoy is created with the help of free labor, largely by women.

Then another 5-12 month wait for surgery.
I shouldn't have to wait over a year in pain to get my shoulder fixed, especially when my pain management options are limited to codeine, which is addictive.
